The Mission

Being that curly, wavy, or coily hair is the most under served and under valued, Ziquita felt the need to dive a bit deeper into the matter. Why was curly and wavy hair types being over looked and who are the people who service these textures? The answers were hard to find simply because there weren't many stylists creating a narrative of healthy hair maintenance it was all about style. The products that we used were geared towards the end result of styling and not about the health of the scalp and hair. Products that were so surface level that in fact once put on they weaken, dull, break and dry out our tresses. 

With the lack of knowledge, technology, and healthy practices Ziquita embarked on a (10 years and counting) journey to finding out why these questions are hard to answer and why we should change the narrative of "our" products hair care and styling. Although we love to see the light that shines on our clients faces after we put in extensions or flat iron, but not to compromise the hair; we also have to find the proper balance in health before we can slay!! 

Creating classes for stylist whom are interested in the overall care of said textures  can help push the narrative of cutting styling and maintaining for curls and waves around the world!
